These terms cover your use of Felt. By creating an account you agree to them.
Felt is operated by Derek Robati, doing business as Orbita (“we”, “us”). Reach us at support@orbitabuilt.com.
Felt is a journaling app. You write entries; Felt uses AI to identify feelings and patterns in what you wrote and reflects them back. Entries are stored on your device. AI output is generated automatically and will sometimes be wrong.
Felt is not therapy, counselling, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. It cannot diagnose anything and it cannot help in a crisis. If you are struggling, please contact a health professional or your local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
You need to be at least 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian to agree to these terms for you.
You sign in with a link sent to your email, so keep control of that inbox. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You own everything you write in Felt. We claim no rights over it. When you ask Felt to read an entry, you give us permission to transmit that text to our AI provider and return the result — that is the whole of the permission, and it lasts only as long as the request. We do not store your entries or use them to train our own models. Once an entry is sent to our AI provider, its use is governed by their policies — see the Privacy Policy.
The app, this website, the name, and the design belong to us. Don’t copy, resell, or reverse-engineer them.
Don’t break the law with Felt, don’t try to breach or overload our systems, don’t use it to generate content that harms others, and don’t resell access. There are hourly and daily limits on AI readings to keep costs sane; we may adjust them.
Felt is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output will be accurate or useful. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Some places don’t allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they legally can.
Your entries live on your device, so keeping them safe is on you. Losing your phone, or deleting the app, means losing them.
Stop whenever you like — cancel through Apple and delete the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we’re required to act on. Email us to have your account and server-side data erased.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect, and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use Felt after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both of us consent to that venue.
